Pilgrimages

PILGRIMAGE FAMILY: Let’s walk together!

To make a pilgrimage is to agree to leave my environment to go somewhere else. It is a process of faith that makes me leave my daily life to recharge, to replenish my heart and in my faith. A pilgrim is the one who “sets out to…” just as Jesus did with Mary and Joseph (Lk 2:41-50). They went to Jerusalem to pray, to celebrate. They agreed to make a stop in their busy life.

Making a pilgrimage is:

  • agree to move forward
  • accept to leave your usual world
  • agree to enter inside yourself
  • accept to open one’s heart to God

And, this is what we want to offer you as an experience by coming this fall to the Our Lady of Cape Shrine. We want to offer you a space as well as a simple, warm, walking experience with the various activities we offer you.
